Product Description
The Genuine Kawasaki 12005-0793 exhaust valve controls exhaust gas flow out of the combustion chamber on FR, FS, and FX series V-twin engines. It opens to let spent gases exit, then seals tightly during intake, compression, and power strokes.
The 49078-7002 valve spring provides the tension needed to close the valve properly and maintain valve train stability at high RPMs.
Exhaust valves operate under extreme heat (up to 1600°F) and face more stress than intake valves. They can become burnt, warped, or worn over time. Valve springs also lose tension from heat cycling.
Common symptoms of exhaust valve issues include loss of compression, hard starting, rough idle, popping through the exhaust, or reduced power. Replacing both components together restores proper sealing and reliable performance.
